Funding Opportunities
Welsh Sports Association – Sources of Funding for Members
As the umbrella body for the National Governing Bodies of Sport and Physical Recreation in Wales, the Association recognises that increasingly, the funding for sport and recreation is a major issue, and at times a very complicated one. NGBs are continually seeking ways to broaden their funding base and to lessen the dependence on single funding streams.
Whilst the Association does not allocate grants or money to its members, or their member organisations, it has an important role in advising its members of possible funding sources, and believes that some of the following links may be of interest.
The internet offers a wide variety of resources in terms of fundraising and grant aid. These vary from tips on how to write fundraising applications, through to lists of grant awarding bodies, trusts and foundations that may be able to assist your organisation.
