Wales Volunteer of the Year Awards

Paul Dancey on 08/04/2010

Do you know an individual or a group of people who work hard to help others and give their time freely to improve community life? People who really make a difference? Then it sounds like they deserve recognition – which is what the Wales Volunteer of the Year Awards are all about.

There are around 1.6 million volunteers in Wales taking on a wide range of tasks throughout our communities, but their efforts are often unheralded. The Volunteer of the Year Awards aim to change that, giving Wales' most outstanding volunteer workers much deserved recognition.

So if you know an individual who devotes themselves to helping others, the community or the environment, why not nominate them for an award?

There are categories for adults, young people (aged under 25), trustees and groups, and there’s also an award for the most "green" volunteer.

If you know a volunteer or group of volunteers you think should be honoured, simply fill out the form and and return it to:
Wales Volunteer of the Year Awards,
WCVA, Baltic House, Mount Stuart Square,
Cardiff CF10 5FH

Closing date for nominations: 23rd April 2010.
