Federation of Disability Sports Wales

Wales is one of the most successful nations in the world in the field of disability sports and it also boasts one of the youngest national teams, thanks much to the work of the Federation of Disability Sport Wales. Welsh Paralympians won 27 medals at the Games in Athens, which accounted for a third of the overall medal return for Great Britain. There are approximately 20,000 people involved in Welsh disability sport and there are 350 clubs that run sports programmes for people with disability.
