WSA Training/Workshops

Full details of our next programme of free training courses for NGBs will be published later in the year on the Training Programme page of our web site, when course details have been finalized.

Team Manager Training

The Welsh Sports Association is now responsible for moving forward the ground breaking generic Team Manager Training programme, that was developed exclusively for Wales by Sport Wales.

This programme consists of 3 Workshops aimed at supporting team managers from their first experiences of working with a sports team through to involvement at major events including the Commonwealth Games.

The workshops are aimed at managers working at club, county, NGB or National level, and are dynamic, interactive and tutored by experienced Team Managers who can tailor their delivery to meet the needs of all attendees.

Training Programme page of our web site.

WSA AGM

The 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Welsh Sports Association will be held on Tuesday 5th July at 7pm at the Village Hotel & Leisure Club, 29 Pendwyallt Road, Coryton, Cardiff, CF14 7EF

This year's AGM will be asked to approve several changes to the WSA's Articles of Association. The changes proposed reflect the restructuring of the board that has taken place over the last 12 months.

If these resolutions are passed, the meeting will then elect a six member board from the following nine candidates:
Philip Avery
Chris Basten
Paul Dancey
Ann Ellis
Louise Fleet
Peter Alan Gomer
Robert James
Gareth John
Matt Newman

With a contested election likely, it's important that representatives from as many Governing Bodies as possible attend this year's AGM, as this will help ensure the election of a balanced board.

One that truly reflects the diverse nature of sport and outdoor activities in Wales, and is therefore well placed to represent the interests of all WSA members.

Further information about this year's WSA AGM is available on the
WSA web site.
