The deadline for making nominations for the WSA Unsung Hero and Administrator of the Year award is fast approaching.  Please send in forms by 15th May.  More information and application forms can be viewed here.

Important Changes to WSA Contact Details

 

Please note that from 6th June 2009 the Communications Coordinator, Greta Gueresi-Leach, will be going on maternity leave.  Any correspondence after this date should be directed to kathryn.jackson@welshsports.org.uk (the email address won't be active until 5th June) or for matters relating to the newsletters/e-newsletters and Overseas Expedition/Sports Safety grants to paul.dancey@welshsports.org.uk (again, email won't be active until 5th June).

Thousands of Sports Clubs Could Close

 

Around 6,000 community sports clubs could be forced to close in the next 12 months across the UK as a result of the recession according to a new survey.   Click here for more information

Creative Legacy for Young People

 

Up to £3 million is available for the Creative Legacy for Young People programme, which is looking to support one national (UK wide) project that will enable primary school age children to directly participate in new and innovative creative activities within the context of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Click here for more information
