WELSH SPORTS ASSOCIATION
National Governing Bodies Welsh Language Development Officer
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum
3 year fixed term contract

Founded in 1972 the Welsh Sports Association is the independent umbrella organisation for National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of sport and recreation in Wales.

With funding from the Welsh Language Board and the Sports
Council for Wales, the Association is seeking to appoint a Welsh
Language Development Officer, to work with its constituent members and funding partners, to expand opportunities for sports coaching through the medium of Welsh, to enhance the use of the Welsh language in the core work of NGBs in Wales.

We are seeking a highly motivated self starter, ideally with
experience within an NGB environment. A knowledge of coach
education programmes and the existing framework serving Welsh
sport would be advantageous.

Fluency in Welsh is a pre-requisite for this post. Suitable
secondments will be considered.
