New post: Child Welfare Director (Cricket Wales)

Cricket Wales, the new national governing body for junior and senior recreational cricket in Wales, wish to appoint a voluntary Child Welfare Director.

The role will involve:

  • Attending Board meetings to provide leadership expertise within the area of Child Welfare
  • Chairing the new Cricket Wales council for Child Welfare to ensure consistent policy implementation across Wales
  • Managing the Cricket Wales Child Welfare Officer
  • Liaising with the ECB, Sport Wales and the NSPCC on Child Welfare policy issues
  • Managing appropriate Child Welfare cases within Wales in conjunction with the Cricket Wales Child Welfare Officer and the ECB
The skills and experience required for the role include:
  • Professional experience in a related field (e.g. child welfare, social services, teaching, police)
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for ensuring the welfare of children
  • A background/interest in cricket
