Paralympic swimming stars Sascha and Nyree have a new Kindred spirit

Paul Dancey on 01/07/2011

Nyree Kindred (originally from Porth, Rhondda) gave birth to baby daughter Ella Rhiannon at Hereford County Hospital on Saturday.

Ella arrived at 5.31pm on Saturday and weighed in at a healthy 7lb 6oz.

The trio looked picture perfect at their Hereford home yesterday.

And Nyree doesn’t think it will be long before Ella is introduced to the water.

“Ella is doing well and her eight-year old cousin has already bought her, her first swimming costume,” said proud mum Nyree.

Paralympic star Sascha will have more time to spend at home after being ruled out of this month’s European Championships with a back injury.

Sascha has slipped a disc in his back and won’t be able to defend the 100m breaststroke title he has held since 1995.

But both Sascha and Nyree are intending to be on the starting blocks when the Paralympics come to London next year.
