London 2012 organisers are seeking 70,000 volunteers

Those interested need to commit to at least 10 days. They need to be able to attend training sessions and cover accommodation costs themselves.

They have to agree to security checks & be generally eligible to act as a volunteer in the UK.

Applicants have to be 18 or over by 1st Jan 2012, although 1500 junior volunteers will also be recruited (the programme for which commences on 15th Sept 2010).

There will also be 8000 London Ambassadors recruited.
