New Vacancy: Player Development Coordinator (Welsh Football Trust)

Following an organisation restructure to support continued growth and expansion, the Welsh Football Trust is seeking to appoint a Player Development Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating high quality structures and programmes that support the identification, development and preparation of talented players.


The role includes:

  • strategically leading the player development pathway for boys, girls and disability players
  • coordinating the Regional Development Squad programme
  • coordinating the competition and training programme for disability squads (when established)
  • setting, monitoring and improving standards in Academies and Performance Centres
  • establishing a contemporary talent identification and monitoring system
Professional competence/qualifications essential to the job:
  • UEFA A Licence
  • minimum level three UEFA Licence accredited tutor
  • ideally educated to Degree level
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to be self-directed and work on own initiative
  • appropriate IT competencies
  • spoken and written Welsh are desirable
  • willing to work unsociable hours
  • full, clean driving licence
