New Vacancy: Child Protection & Safeguarding Lead Officer (Welsh Yachting Association)

The Welsh Yachting Association(WYA) is looking to recruit a suitably experienced individual to act as our Child Protection and Safeguarding Lead Officer.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst keeping others informed, and to organise their time effectively.


The successful candidate will ideally have professional experience from a child welfare, social services, teaching or police service background and have a sound knowledge of child protection/welfare legislation, a proven people and project management ability and excellent communication skills.

The post is home based, with central support through the WYA Head Office, and the successful applicant will be expected to travel to meetings with the RYA, NSPCC's Child Protection in Sport Unit, Sport Wales and Welsh Clubs, as well as attend National Events and conferences.
