WSA Outdoor Pursuits Meeting

The Welsh Sports Association is holding an open meeting for Outdoor Pursuits at 10.00am on the 1st May at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.
With so many issues regarding outdoor recreation undergoing scrutiny through Welsh Government reviews it is essential that all NGBs with an interest in informal recreation be united with a single voice through WSA.
The merging of the Forestry Commission, Environment Agency Wales and Countryside Council for Wales, the formation of the Environment Bill and other consultations on legislation means there will be many opportunities to influence policy makers.
Whilst many NGBs are making representation individually, and this is to be applauded, it is also important that the whole sector is appropriately represented by the WSA. The meeting will therefore look to engage NGBs on the issues facing the sector to ensure that this is the case.
