New Vacancy: 5x60 Co-ordinator (Rhondda Cynon Taf)

Rhondda Cynon Taf 5 x 60 Programme is seeking to appoint a 5 x 60 Officer with appropriate aptitude and skills to join the wider 5 x 60 team within RCT Services for Young People.

The main responsibility of the post will be the co-ordination and implementation of the 5 x 60 programme within one of RCT’s school cluster areas.


Duties will include:

  • The implementation of the 5x60 programme in school and community settings through working in partnership with wider Services for Young People and Sports Development
  • The implementation of the 5x60 programme in school and community settings through working in partnership with wider Services for Young People and Sports Development
  • The implementation of the 5x60 programme in school and community settings through working in partnership with wider Services for Young People and Sports Development
  • Develop and extend extra curricular sporting opportunities within the
    designated school/community within the broader e3+ programme
  • Providing advice and information on the 5x60 programme to young people and wider community partners
  • Liaising with partners and collating data management and financial information
  • Developing and maintaining effective links with key partners to include
    RCT Sport Development, RCT Leisure and wider partners
  • The recruitment and development of volunteers and leaders to support the delivery of the 5x60 programme
The succesful candidate will hold at least one recognised sports coaching qualification and have experience of coaching/sports development/youth work/teaching, with a good knowledge of the sports development process. Knowledge of funding opportunities and initiatives available within the sporting community would be desirable.

This post is based at Ty Trevithick, Abercynon in the first instance and then will predominantly be school based.
