The UK government's Red Tape Challenge

Paul Dancey on 11/07/2012

The UK government is continuing to ask the public for their views on what can be done to reduce red tape through Red Tape Challenge website.

They are now seeking the public's views in area of civil society. This sector is central to the Government’s ambition for a stronger society, and they appreciate that red tape can sometimes make it extremely difficult and frustrating to start and run voluntary organizations.

So they want to know about anything that stops clubs, community initiatives and volunteers doing what they love and want to do on behalf of their club, community or sport. Sometimes of course it's not the regulations that are the problem, but the way they are enforced, so this is a great opportunity to highlight issues that make it hard to achieve your organizations goals.

The red tape consultation for civil society closes at the end of September, and can be found on the Cabinet Office website.
