Restrictions relaxed at Llangorse Lake

Paul Dancey on 11/07/2012

The regulations put in place following last month's outbreak of blue-green algae in Llangorse lake have now been relaxed.

Whilst Powys council's environmental health service has confirmed that the algae is still there, they have now decided to allow pleasure boats and angling on the lake.

But restrictions on swimming, water skiing, paddling, diving and wind surfing remain in place, and pet and livestock owners should continue to keep their animals away from the water.
