Re-advertised vacancy: Operations Manager (Wales Squash & Racketball)

Wales Squash & Racketball, the National Governing Body for squash and racketball in Wales, has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team to take overall responsibility for all business process and procedure compliance in WSR.

The post holder will be required to line-manage staff and will have responsibility for shaping the business throughout Wales. He or she will implement, manage and direct relevant aspects of the Wales Squash & Racketball strategy to support the delivery of key performance indicators and targets.


The successful candidate will need experience in business related administration, the ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and volunteers, together with excellent organisational, planning and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead an organisation and have a proven working knowledge of the sports industry or voluntary sector. The ability to communicate effectively and to develop and maintain positive relationships in the context of the delivery of an overall plan for the sport is essential.

The duties of the post will include implementing and reviewing all policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and compliant, managing to resolution all complaints and areas of conflict, providing administration support to the Board of Directors, and developing working relationships with, and promoting the Business Plan, to key partners and establishing a credible reputation and value in the brand of Wales Squash & Racketball.

This post will be primarily home-based but may require working at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff and some travel throughout Wales. The successful candidate will be willing and able to work out of normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
