Vetting and Barring update

Changes to the current vetting and barring system will come into force on 10 September 2012. A summary of the changes is available in a Home Office leaflet entitled "Changes to disclosure and barring: what you need to know", which is available on the Home Office website.
The national organisation for local support and development organisations, NAVCA, has also produced an interim briefing called "Changes to CRB checks and barred list checks", together with a brief fact sheet giving an overview of the Protection of Freedoms Act. Both of these documents are available on the NAVCA website.
