New Vacancy: Assistant Swimming Development Coach x2 (Pembrokeshire County Council)

Pembrokeshire County Council are seeking to appoint two Assistant Swimming Development Coaches.

One post is for 37 hours per week, and the other one for 21 hours per week. The 37 hour role will be jointly based between Tenby & Milford Leisure Centres whilst the 21 hour post will be split between Fishguard & Crymych Leisure Centres.


The role will involve the development of the Pembrokeshire County swimming pathway, assisting in the implementation and delivery of a training scheme for competitive swimmers on the swimming pathway.

Instructing and coordinating swimming lessons, the post holder will assist in the development of coaching standards, liaising with parents, clubs, centre management and the Learn to Swim Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be qualified to UKCC/ASA Level 2 and have experience of coaching, planning and coordinating swimming training. Excellent communication skills are essential, with a knowledge and understanding of LTAD, Talent ID and Swim Wales policies, including equity and child protection.
