New Vacancy: Sports Development Officer (Football)

Paul Dancey on 18/09/2012

Sport Cardiff in partnership with Cardiff City FC Community and Education Foundation is seeking to employ a dynamic individual with a strong interest in disability football work.

The role will involve partnership work with organisations across all disabilities to coordinate, deliver and further develop the Every Player Counts disability football programme.

The challenge awaiting the successful candidate is to increase participation and club membership of the Every Player Counts Programme, recruit, train and deploy volunteers and coaches, coordinate fixtures for each team and source funding to ensure the sustainability of the programme.

Candidates should have experience of running a disability and community sport programmes, possess a FAW C Licence coaching qualification or equivalent and have experience of applying for funding.

An understanding of sports development principles is a must and knowing the barriers faced by disabled participants accessing sporting opportunities is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s biggest Disability Football Programmes.

Closing date for applications: Friday 28th September 2012.
