Squash Wales provide a significant amount of effort towards encouraging juniors to participate in squash. An example of their work, which is regularly done in partnership with local authorities, can be seen with a project established in Caerphilly. Working with the local council, Squash Wales launched introduction days for local schools and established a junior squash club in the area. The introduction or taster sessions involved simple racket skills, completion of part of the Spot Award Scheme, shuttle games and footwork exercises.
