| Voluntary Sector Partnership Council The main reason behind the setting up of the Voluntary Sector Partnership Council is to ensure that the principles set out in the Welsh Assembly Government's (WAG) Voluntary Sector Scheme are put into practice.Thge VPSC also provides an opportunity for the voluntary sector to raise key areas of interest or concern with Assembly Members and Ministers as they come up. It is a pan-Wales body and therefore is concerned with issues affecting the whole of Wales. Voluntary Sector Scheme WAG's Voluntary Sector Scheme sets out how it will promote the interests of voluntary and community groups through commitments to volunteering, community development, funding, consultation and working in partnership. Working alongside the Scheme, each local council has a Compact with voluntary and community groups. At both national and local level therefore these relatinships allow regular opportunities for voluntary sector networks to feed their concerns and proiorities into government.
